GBPNZD — the structure is down, and we look up

An episode about reading a timeframe conflict. A globally bearish structure and a long idea coexist while the established low is intact: the range may continue, and a local upward break confirms rather than contradicts it. The idea is cancelled not by a local break but by point A being taken out. The hypothesis played out to the range high.

BREAKDOWN

Step by step

1. The trend is not defined by eye: over the past year the move is upward, and a trade range confirms it.

2. The range starts where price left with an impulse, not at the liquidity sweep — otherwise the count would start too early.

3. Point A — a daily fractal in the discount zone plus an untested MTV zone formed on that interaction.

4. Three questions: where price is (discount of the daily range), what it interacts with (a daily fractal), where it heads (the range high).

5. The Trade Model check: globally the daily structure is bearish — and that looks like a contradiction to a long idea.

6. Resolving it: the trend break happened at a specific point, the correction was deep, but the established low is not taken — the range may continue, while the local structure broke upward.

7. Local history: price came into an untested monthly imbalance at the intersection with an order flow and got a reaction — confirming the same MTV zone.

8. Replay check: price tests the zone and goes to the high of the trade range — exactly as planned.

9. The boundary is stated out loud: the structure markup comes from the free version, order-flow zones and higher-timeframe imbalances from the full one.

IN THE METHODOLOGY

A timeframe conflict is visible in the markup

The FocusProfit Trade Model indicator marks structure on every timeframe separately. That is why a bearish higher timeframe and a lower one broken upward are two facts rather than a contradiction: while the established low is intact, the range may continue.
